Current Honorary Members

Homer and Linda Hickam:

Homer Hickam is one of the founders of Amateur or Model Rocketry. 

His story is told in the movie “October Skies” and he visited Australia for the original Thunda in 2015.


Christoffel Family:

Farmers local to Jimboomba who greatly assisted QRS in its early days through the support of the use of their land.


Trevina Schwarz:

Former LCC councillor who was a strong supporter of QRS


Jos Custer:

Assisted the club in the maintenance and construction of many of the club facilities still in use today


Ole Kirk:

A long-time club member and L2 flyer with a passion for rocketry, Ole passed away a few years ago.
